Carl Rogers is a person who is a forefather of humanist theory and he created the therapy focused in the customer. Carl Ramson Rogers was born in 1902 in Oak Park, Chicago, his family was evangelic. First, Rogers studied theology but he drop out because he discovered that he like aspects associated with psychology. In 1928 was be tituled of master and in 1931 he got a doctorate in psychology. He was specialty in clinic psychology. Carl Rogers died in 1987 in San Diego, California, he suffer a cardiac arrest.
Carl Rogers was a person interested in personal development and the posibility that the people govern their life themselves for can progress. He participated in several importants conferences and he writed importants books for the humanist psychology like "The process of becoming a person: a therapist's view of psychotherapy".
I like Carl Rogers and Humanist theory because I agree with the idea that the people can manage their life for a well-being.
